Biography

Yusuke Hori, MD, is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University. After earning his MD from Sapporo Medical University in Japan, he completed a neurosurgery residency at the National Hospital Organization Okayama Medical Center. Dr. Hori has furthered his education with fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic in Stereotactic Functional Neurosurgery and Neurosurgical Oncology, as well as an International Neurosurgery Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School. His clinical interests encompass treating malignant brain and spine tumors in both adult and pediatric patients, with a focus on minimally invasive treatment options, including laser interstitial thermal therapy and focused ultrasound. His research investigates the development of organoid models for studying radiation-induced brain injuries and seeks to identify novel therapeutic compounds through high-throughput screening. Dr. Hori has received several awards, including the Clinician Educator Grant from the Stanford University Maternal Child Health Research Institute.
