Biography

Yuvraj Gajpal is an Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. He holds a PhD in Management Science from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, and a Master's in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India. Prior to joining the University of Manitoba, he served as an Assistant Professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Interuniversity Research Center Enterprise Networks, Logistics Transportation (CIRRELT). His research interests include applying heuristics and meta-heuristics in transportation logistics management. Gajpal has been active in securing grants for his research, including funding from NSERC and the Junior Faculty Research Grant (JFRG). He has published papers in leading research journals such as Computers & Operations Research and the European Journal of Operations Research, and he has international research collaborations across various countries. Gajpal also reviews for several international journals and has taught a wide range of courses in Management Science and Supply Chain Management at the University of Manitoba.
