Biography

Yuxiao Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, where he received the C. Norwood Wherry Memorial Graduate Fellowship in 2020. He also holds an M.S. in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University-New Brunswick and a B.S. in Energy Science Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology. His research interests focus on implantable device design, surgery planning, diagnosis of bone diseases, computational experimental biomechanics, medical imaging techniques such as CT and MRI, mechanobiology, and bone regeneration. Dr. Zhou has been awarded several honors including the Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2021 and the Kulakowski Travel Award at Pennsylvania State University. His commitment to advancing the field of biomechanics and bioengineering is evident through his active participation in various conferences and research initiatives.
