Biography

Yves Lajoie is a Full Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. He received his Ph.D. in motor control from Laval University in 1994, and subsequently completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in physiotherapy at McGill University’s Centre for Research in Neuroscience. In 1995, he joined Laurentian University as an assistant professor before moving to the University of Ottawa in 2001. Dr. Lajoie’s research focuses on motor control, cognitive involvement, and the dynamics of static and dynamic equilibrium, particularly as they relate to aging. He is actively accepting new students for thesis supervision and is a member of the Society for Neuroscience and the North American Society for Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity.
