Biography

M. Yvette Williams-Brown, M.D., MMSc, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist affiliated with Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor College of Medicine. She is known for her special expertise in gynecologic malignancies, particularly ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancers, and is skilled in performing minimally invasive procedures including robotic surgery. Dr. Williams-Brown has a strong commitment to education and currently serves as the gynecologic oncology residency rotation director in the Department of Women’s Health at Dell Medical School. Her collaborative work has led to projects that reached the finals of the 2016 Texas Health Catalyst Program. In addition to her clinical work, she is active in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr. Williams-Brown's research interests include cervical cancer, palliative care, and health disparities. She is a full member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and has held leadership roles in various medical associations. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys attending UT Longhorn football games with her husband and is delighted to be raising twin boys.
