Biography

Graduated from University College Dublin, Yvonne Farrell de Courcy is a founding member of Grafton Architects, established in 1977. She serves as a studio lecturer at the School of Architecture at University College Dublin and is a visiting critic at architecture schools internationally. Her exhibited work includes notable displays at the Venice Biennale in 2002 and the Mies van der Rohe Award Exhibition in 2003. Her completed projects encompass university buildings, schools, housing developments, and public structures, alongside urban design initiatives. In 2008, she won an international competition for the design of Luigi Bocconi University in Milan. Grafton Architects was awarded the Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2012 for their noteworthy contributions to architecture.
