Dr. Zachari Swiecki

Biography

Zachari Swiecki is a Senior Lecturer in Learning Analytics at Monash University, specializing in the intersection of data science and education. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Zachari graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Alabama. His work primarily revolves around learning analytics, focusing on the application of data science techniques within educational contexts, particularly in collaborative settings. He has contributed significantly to the development and dissemination of Quantitative Ethnography as a methodology that integrates qualitative analysis with statistical and data science techniques. His research interests include developing novel techniques for modeling collaborative processes and applying these models across fields such as engineering design, medicine, and military contexts.
