Biography

Zachary Colbert is an Associate Professor at the Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism at Carleton University. He focuses on creative practice and explores the interplay between architecture, capital, water, and energy, particularly through mapping, modeling, and photographic media. His research interests include constructed perceptions of nature, post-humanism, climate futures, and the interrogation of the architectural grid, examining architecture’s entanglements with infrastructural systems, imperialism, extraction, and subjugation.
