Dr. Zachary Wagner

Biography

Zachary Wagner is an economist at the Center for Economic and Social Research. His research utilizes economic theory and econometrics to study how people make decisions regarding health and healthcare globally. Wagner's areas of expertise include the uptake of health technology, quality of care in low-income countries, health disasters, insurance for the poor, community health workers, HIV/AIDS, child diarrhea, the private sector in healthcare, the opioid crisis, and family planning. His research employs a variety of methodologies including randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental evaluations, and the analysis of large secondary data sets.
