Biography

Zemin (Zachary) Zhong is an Associate Professor in the Marketing department at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. His research explores online platforms, information consumption, and emerging markets. He has been a visiting scholar at the City University of Hong Kong during the sabbatical year 2025-26. Professor Zhong's work has been published in esteemed journals such as Marketing Science and Management Science. He is a member of the Editorial Review Board for Marketing Science and teaches various courses including Pricing Principles at the executive, MBA, and undergraduate levels. He has received the Rotman Teaching Award multiple times and collaborates with leading industry partners including Alibaba and Ctrip. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and has two Masters, one in Finance from the University of Hong Kong and another in Management from Peking University, as well as a BSc in Chemistry and a BA in Economics from the same institution.
