Biography

Zahra Sharif Khodaei is a Professor in Aerospace Structural Durability and Health Monitoring at Imperial College London. She obtained her PhD from the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2008, specializing in numerical modelling of functionally graded materials. Zahra has held a lectureship position since 2014 and has been a research associate at Imperial College London’s Department of Aeronautics since 2009. Her research focuses on fatigue modelling and the analysis of metallic Fibre Metallic Laminates (FML), leading to significant developments in technologies and methodologies for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) in composite structures. She is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Women Engineering Society.
