Dr. Zareena Gani

Biography

Zareena Gani is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at University College London (UCL) with twenty years of international experience in higher education, research, and advanced manufacturing industries. She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University, Canada, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in the UK. Her research and teaching interests focus on precision manufacturing, nanoscale engineering, sustainable manufacturing practices, and innovation in engineering education. Gani has co-developed the MSc programme in Future Manufacturing and Nanoscale Engineering at UCL East and leads modules on precision manufacturing and capstone project supervision. Her background includes leadership roles in curriculum design, programme accreditation, and industry collaboration, integrating cutting-edge technologies into her teaching and research. Gani's contributions have been recognized with national and institutional awards for innovation, teaching excellence, and sustainability initiatives. She is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary research, advancing engineering education, and mentoring the next generation of engineers and researchers.
