Biography

Zenas Yiu is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Dermatology and an MRC Clinician Scientist with a strong background in Pharmacoepidemiology. He leads the Dermatology Pharmacoepidemiology Research Group at the University of Manchester and has a keen interest in evaluating the safety and effectiveness of novel therapeutics for chronic inflammatory skin conditions. Zenas was awarded the NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship in 2015 for his work investigating the risk of serious infections in patients with psoriasis treated with biologic therapies. He has also received numerous accolades, including the Royal Society Medicine Dermatology Trainee Research Prize in 2018 and the Royal College of Physicians Turner-Warwick Lectureship in 2019. Currently, he serves as the Academic Programme Lead for Dermatology and co-leads the Clinical Therapeutics and Pharmacology Industry Theme within the Integrated Clinical Academic Training Programme at Manchester. His research interests encompass Drug Safety, Treatment Effectiveness, Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases, and Data Science in Dermatology.
