Dr. Zetian Mi

Biography

Zetian Mi is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on wide bandgap semiconductors and their applications in electronic and photonic devices, including clean energy systems and quantum devices. Primary research areas include epitaxial growth, fundamental properties of semiconductor heterostructures and nanostructures, III-nitride materials and devices, emerging ferroelectric nitrides, light-emitting diodes, lasers, UV photonics, quantum photonics, and artificial photosynthesis. Mi's work contributes significantly to the development of innovative technologies in the field of clean energy and semiconductor devices, and he actively recruits talented undergraduate and graduate students to join his research group.
