Biography

Zeyu Qiu is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Health Policy and Economics (CHEPI) within the Business School at Imperial College London. He focuses on understanding the empirical evidence related to protective and risky behaviors during pandemics to strengthen the behavioral foundations of policy interventions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics. Currently, he is completing his PhD in Economics at the University of Birmingham, concentrating on behavioral and experimental economics. His research concerns how cultural variations, norms, and institutional designs shape pro-social behavior, with particular applications of behavioral insights in health and environmental contexts, including pandemic preparedness and sustainable housing retrofitting.
