Dr. Zhan Su

Biography

Zhan Su is a full professor in the Department of Management at Université Laval. His expertise lies in strategic management, focusing on international trade, competitiveness, innovation, and the internationalization of corporations. Over the years, he has been instrumental in the academic progression of students, supervising numerous master's and doctoral research projects. He has received multiple research awards and accolades for his contributions to the field, including the Hermès Excellence in Research Award and the Research Medal. His academic journey includes a doctorate in management sciences from Pierre-Mendès-France University, accompanied by specialized degrees in management and engineering. Su's research not only addresses the theoretical aspects of international business but also explores practical implications, particularly in the context of emerging markets and corporate strategies in turbulent environments. His notable research affiliations include chairing the Stephen Jarislowsky Chair in International Business and contributing to the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics, and Transportation. Beyond research, he is actively involved in teaching and developing courses designed to enhance the understanding of global markets and the strategic challenges faced by multinational firms.
