Biography

Dr. Zhaogang Dong is an Associate Professor in the Science, Mathematics, and Technology (SMT) Cluster at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2005 and his PhD in 2012 from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Before joining SUTD, he worked as a scientist at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) under A*STAR from 2012 to 2024. His research focuses on advanced topics in nanotechnology, particularly sub-10-nm nanofabrication, nanophononics, dielectric nanoantennas, plasmonics, and quantum optical superconducting devices. He has published approximately 80 peer-reviewed journal papers in high-impact journals such as ACS Nano, Nature Communications, and Science Advances. Dr. Dong has also secured multiple funding awards and holds four PCT patents in his areas of expertise, contributing significantly to the advancement of applied nanotechnology.
