Dr. Zhe Chen

Biography

Zhe Chen is a professor and principal investigator at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, with a joint appointment at NYU School of Medicine. He directs the CN3 Laboratory, focusing on computational neuroscience, neuroengineering, and computational psychiatry. His research includes fundamental questions related to sleep memory, motor coding, and nociception pain. Chen's work spans various topics, including neural engineering and brain-machine interfaces. He has received funding from prestigious organizations like the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health and has published in high-impact journals such as Nature Biomedical Engineering, Science Translational Medicine, and Neuron. Chen is also the lead author of the book Correlative Learning and has edited several publications on neuroscience and data analysis. His involvement extends to serving on various editorial boards for journals in his field.
