Zhe aims to identify promising proteins that may play etiological roles in cancer development. Additionally, his work employs polygenic risk scores to explore the etiological impact of these proteins on prostate cancer, considering the interactions with hormonal factors, using data from the UK Biobank. Prior to his appointment at Oxford, Zhe completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh, where his doctoral research involved metabolomic profiles associated with cardiovascular phenotypes and integrating metabolomics data with conventional risk factors to enhance cardiovascular disease risk prediction.
