Biography

Zheng Feng Lu is a Professor and Clinical Diagnostic Physicist at the University of Chicago, specializing in medical physics. He serves as the Section Chief of Clinical Physics and Director of the Clinical Imaging Medical Physics Residency Program at the University of Chicago Medicine. Dr. Lu is recognized for his expertise in ultrasound and serves as co-convenor of the IEC Technical Committee 87 Working Group 9, focusing on ultrasound pulse-echo diagnostic equipment. His contributions extend to prominent committees such as the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs (CAMPEP), and the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Dr. Lu holds certifications from the American Board of Radiology in Nuclear Medical Physics and Diagnostic Radiological Physics. He completed his PhD in Medical Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994 and has received several accolades throughout his career, including Fellow status with the AAPM and the Senior Class Teaching Award from the University of Chicago's Radiology Resident Program. His research interests include radiation dosage and tomography, and he has published numerous articles in these areas.
