Biography

Zhenhong Li is currently a Lecturer in Robotics Control at the University of Manchester, holding an EPSRC Fellowship in physical human-robot interaction. He completed his B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2013 and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Control Engineering from the University of Manchester in 2014 and 2019, respectively. Prior to joining the University of Manchester in 2023, he was a Research Fellow in Rehabilitation Robotics at the University of Leeds from 2019 to 2023. He is an IEEE Senior Member and serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters. Zhenhong has authored or co-authored 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, engaging healthcare professionals and industries in multidisciplinary projects funded by organizations such as the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Wellcome Trust. He has received accolades including Paper Awards at Unmanned Systems in 2019 and IEEE Conferences in 2020. Zhenhong leads the Neurorobotics Lab at the University of Manchester, focusing on innovative control technologies for multi-robot systems and human-robot systems, with applications in industry and healthcare.
