Biography

Zhenyu Li is a Professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences at Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy. He completed his PhD in Hematology at Soochow University, College of Medicine in China, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral training in Pharmacology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research focuses on platelet signaling, the mechanisms of thrombosis and hemostasis, inflammation-thrombosis crosstalk, and the role of platelets in cancer. Dr. Li has received several awards recognizing his contributions to the field, including the Young Investigator Award from the 4th Biennial National IDeA Symposium on Biomedical Research Excellence and the ATVB Kenneth M. Brinkhous Young Investigator Prize for his work on thrombosis. Moreover, he has been involved in multiple prestigious research programs and has garnered travel awards from the American Society of Hematology.
