Biography

Zhenzhou Wang is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southampton, focusing on the characterization and in-situ behavior of lightweight materials, as well as failure mechanisms associated with them. His research interests include analytical and numerical modeling of composite materials and multi-objective design optimization. He is particularly engaged in developing artificial intelligence techniques and evolutionary algorithms to solve complex engineering optimization problems. He has served as a guest editor for the journal Polymers from 2021 to 2023 and was awarded the Dean's award in 2024 for his contributions to the field.
