Biography

Zhimei Ren is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her Ph.D. in Statistics at Stanford University in 2021 and also holds a B.S. in Statistics from Peking University (2016). Prior to her current position, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Chicago from 2021 to 2023. Her research interests include distribution-free inference, multiple hypothesis testing, data-driven decision making, causal inference, and survival analysis. Throughout her academic career, she has contributed to numerous significant publications, including works on conformal prediction and sensitivity analysis in treatment effects. Ren is also actively involved in teaching and supervision, offering various courses related to statistical inference and advanced applied statistics.
