Biography

Zhongdong Wang received her BEng degree in High Voltage Engineering and MSc degree in High Voltage Technologies from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, in 1991 and 1993, respectively. She completed her PhD degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 1999. Her qualifications include membership in the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (MIEEE). She has collaborated on various projects and has organized international conferences. Wang's expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, contributing towards environmentally-friendly transformer oil alternatives and advancing insulation systems. Her research in power transformers and asset management is essential to enhancing the safety, economic viability, and environmental responsibility of electrical systems.
