Biography

Zhouzun Xie is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He earned his Ph.D. from UNSW in 2022 and completed his Master's and Bachelor's degrees at Northeastern University in China in 2018 and 2015, respectively. His research focuses on the recycling processes of photovoltaic modules and process metallurgy, as well as the development of computational fluid dynamics and discrete element method models utilizing machine learning techniques in engineering. His contributions to the field have been recognized with several honors, including the Dean’s Award for Outstanding PhD Theses in 2023 and the UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarship in 2018. He is active in various research activities and has been involved in significant research grants aimed at enhancing sustainability in solar panel recycling and advancing nanomedicine.
