Biography

Zhuo Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Windsor, where he specializes in Polymer and Materials Chemistry. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of new classes of polymers and nanomaterials with well-defined architectures. He has a particular interest in polymeric materials with complex molecular structures that introduce new phenomena, properties, and functions. Wang's work involves the development of biopolymers, metal-containing macromolecules, and chiral materials, aiming to explore the properties and functions of materials to facilitate the rational design and efficient synthesis of molecular engineering. His multidisciplinary research enables students to gain a comprehensive understanding of polymer/materials chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry, and biological sciences. Students are provided with extensive experience in instrumental analysis and characterization of small molecules and macromaterials.
