Dr. Zhuo Wang

Biography

Zhuo Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Windsor. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of new classes of polymers and nanomaterials with well-defined architectures. He has a particular interest in polymeric materials and complex molecular structures that allow for the introduction of new phenomena and properties. His work involves exploring the relationships between materials properties and macromolecular structures, which serves as a foundation for the rational design and efficient synthesis of polymers and nanomaterials with desired properties and advanced functions. Professor Wang successfully merges modern synthetic organic chemistry with the rapidly evolving field of polymer materials science. He has explored novel synthetic methodologies, particularly highly regio- and stereo-selective polymerization techniques, and his multidisciplinary research enables students to gain extensive knowledge across polymer/materials science, organic, and inorganic chemistry, as well as valuable exposure to biological and biomedical disciplines.
