Dr. Zhuomin Huang

Biography

Zhuomin Huang is a Senior Lecturer in Intercultural Education at the Manchester Institute of Education (MIE). His research focuses on intercultural education, utilizing creative methods for educational research. He is particularly interested in developing critical understandings of students' intercultural experiences within higher education. His teaching primarily contributes to the MA International Education program, where he leads the EDUC70621 Intercultural Communication Education course unit. Zhuomin serves as the SEED Lead for the Humanities New Academics Programme (HNAP), working collaboratively with faculty program directors to redesign the curriculum. His main research interests include: Intercultural Education focusing on critical understandings of student belonging and inclusion, and Creative Approaches involving visual arts methods like photography and collage. He holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Manchester and has expertise in intercultural ethics and epistemic justice.
