Biography

Zi'ang Chen is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow and Rokos Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Faculty of History, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the intersection of property, power, and the political state in medieval intellectual history. He has extensive scholarly interests in medieval philosophy, particularly the Franciscan tradition and the medieval reception of Aristotle's Ethics and Politics. Before his current position at Cambridge, he completed his doctorate at L'École des hautes études en sciences sociales in Paris and held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
