Biography

Zihao Li is a Senior Lecturer in Law Technology and a UKRI Metascience AI Fellow at the CREATe Centre, School of Law, University of Glasgow. He has an interdisciplinary background in Computer Science (B.Eng.) and Law (LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D.) and has studied at the University of California, Irvine, USA, where he obtained an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and the Digital Economy. His Ph.D. research at Glasgow focused on online algorithmic pricing and data protection law in EU and China, examining social, technological, and legal perspectives. Zihao's research interests revolve around the intersection of law and information technology, with a particular emphasis on data protection law, AI regulation, blockchain law, Internet intellectual property, and electronic evidence forensics. He has published in top-tier interdisciplinary academic journals and has engaged as a key speaker at prestigious universities including the University of Oxford and University of Cambridge. Zihao is actively involved in professional services within the academic community, serving as an Associate Editor and a member of the Editorial Board for the journal Humanities Social Sciences Communications and as an Editor for the journal Data & Policy. He is also a founding Programme Director of the LLM in Technology Law Regulation and co-founder of the Scottish Law and Innovation Network.
