Dr. Zoe Engberg

Biography

Zoe Engberg is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School and serves as the Director of the Criminal Defense & Youth Advocacy Clinic. With a strong focus on criminal law, she has been involved in teaching clinics related to the Wisconsin Innocence Project. Before her appointment at the Law School, she was a trial attorney with the Bronx Defenders, a public defense office known for its commitment to innovative and holistic representation. Professor Engberg graduated magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she was awarded the prestigious Root-Tilden-Kern public interest scholarship. During her time at law school, she also worked as an investigator at the Orleans Public Defenders Office, contributing to the establishment of the office's capital defense practice.
