Zoë Robaey is an Assistant Professor in the Ethics of Technology at Wageningen University. Her research explores the conditions of moral responsibility in the face of uncertainty within biotechnology and agriculture. In 2019, she received a VENI grant from the Dutch Research Organization to study the virtues of innovation in practice. Robaey holds a PhD for her work titled “Seeding Moral Responsibility Ownership: Deal Uncertain Risks GMOs,” which she defended in January 2017. She holds multidisciplinary degrees in Biology, Science and Technology Studies, and Public Policy, and is actively engaged in public debates about the future of agriculture, participating in events hosted by institutions like Pakhuis de Zwijger and de Balie. In 2019, she was nominated as one of the top five candidates for the 'Wetenschapstalent' prize organized by New Scientist.
