Biography

Dr. Zoë Selhi joined Queen's University in 2022 as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Forensic & Correctional Psychiatry. She is a board-certified forensic psychiatrist in Canada, having completed her psychiatry residency at Harvard's Longwood program and forensic fellowship training at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Selhi currently works as an inpatient forensic psychiatrist at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, Ontario, where she conducts criminal evaluations and follows the UST & NCRMD population for the Ontario Review Board. Before returning to Canada, she served as a forensic evaluator in Commonwealth, PA, working with Lancaster County Adult Probation & Parole and was also a part-time psychiatrist at Lancaster General Health, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania. Her previous experience includes working with the Department of Corrections in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, conducting forensic evaluations in state hospitals across Pennsylvania. Dr. Selhi holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Criminology from the University of Toronto, with specialized training and experience in women’s mental health. Her current research interests focus on dual role relationships in forensic psychiatry and the High Risk Accused (HRA) population in Canada.
