Biography

Zoya Leonenko joined the University of Waterloo in 2007 and leads a nanoscale biophysics research group that employs various physical methods including atomic force microscopy (AFM), Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM), surface plasmon resonance (SPR), and nanopore electrophysiology (BLM). Her research focuses on the biophysics of lipid membranes and membrane-protein interactions with applications in bio-nanotechnology and molecular neuroscience.
