Biography

Zubeida Lowton is a Lecturer in Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow, specializing in the discipline of Urban Studies and Social Policy. Prior to her doctoral studies in the UK, she gained five years of professional experience as a planner in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she specialized in developing spatial planning frameworks, urban design, and project management. Lowton is a registered Professional Planner with the South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN) and is interested in supervising PhD projects that are related to her research interests.
