Biography

Zumbul conducts research in the field of supply chain management, with a primary focus on multi-echelon supply chains operating under demand and supply uncertainties. Her research aims to assess the impact of these uncertainties and develop strategies to mitigate their effects. Zumbul formulates optimization models that integrate revenue management strategies with supply chain design, supporting the transition from linear to circular supply chains. Additionally, she investigates retailers' revenue management decisions and how they complement or substitute supply chain management decisions. Zumbul has served as the Chair of the Operations, Planning, Accounting, and Control Group since February 2025 and is the research director for the European Supply Chain Forum's Circular Program. She is also a board member of the Beta Research School for Operations Management and Logistics, representing the Beta Graduate Program in Operations Management and Logistics on the board.
