Dr. Zvi Septimus

Biography

Zvi Septimus is a Visiting Lecturer at Yale Law School, where he focuses on Talmudic law and Jewish legal history. His current research delves into legislation surrounding sexual unions in the context of permanent marriage. Septimus completed his Ph.D. in Jewish Studies at the University of California, Berkeley in 2011. He has an extensive teaching background, having previously taught at institutions such as Shanghai International Studies University, NYU Shanghai, Harvard Law School, Cornell University, and the University of Toronto. With a rich academic career, he has written extensively on topics related to Jewish law, bringing a depth of knowledge and expertise to his role as a lecturer.
