Biography

I have an M.Sc. degree in polymer chemistry from the University of Tehran, Iran, with an "A" GPA (3.67/4). I am a top student in the National and International Olympiad of Chemistry (2014) and the Nationwide University Entrance Exam (2014). Since I finished my Master's Degree in 2017, I have been trying to prepare myself for a Ph.D. position by working as a Laboratory Specialist at PGFP and BHRC - two prestigious companies in Iran. In my M.Sc. project under the supervision of Prof. Hossein Mahdavi, I proposed a membrane with improved performance and anti-fouling properties containing Graphene-oxide and Nano-Chitosan. In addition to my dissertation research, I also worked in diverse areas such as proton exchange membranes for fuel cell application, and synthesis and characterization of MF, UF, and NF membranes (hollow fiber and flat-sheet). The outcome of these works is two published papers in the Journal of Polymer Research.

Skills

Practical experience and familiarity with the devices used to identify and analyze polymers, including SEM, AFM, NMR, FTIR, DSC, MFR, UV-Vis Expert level in fabrication of hollow fiber and flat modules membranes. Expert level in design and fabrication of MF, UF, NF, and RO membranes. Skillful in Synthesis and surface modification of nanoparticles such as Graphene Oxide, CNT, Chitosan, etc. Skillful in different Polymer Synthesis methods (free radical and condensation polymerization) Experienced in design and synthesis of Polythiophene-based conductive polymer for rigid and flexible electrochromic devices Experienced in design and synthesis of proton exchange membrane for fuel cell application.
