Both positions offer competitive compensation.1. Postdoctoral Position in Animal WorkWe are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in animal work. The ideal candidate will have extensive training in their Ph.D. program and be capable of independently conducting research involving animal models. The specific focus areas encompass at least one of the following disciplines: cardiovascular research, immunology, and microbiota studies.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing animal experiments and analyzing molecular biology and cellular biology data.2. Postdoctoral Position in Device Fabrication and Systems EngineeringWe are also looking for a postdoctoral researcher with extensive expertise in device fabrication, (opto)electronic design, and systems engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new devices and systems, troubleshooting and optimizing existing technologies, and collaborating with other researchers to apply these devices in biological and medical research.

Dr. Bozhi Tian

Professor
Bio

Bozhi Tian is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Chicago. He focuses on probing the molecular-nano interface between biological and semiconductor systems, with an emphasis on novel material synthesis and device concept. Bozhi Tian was born in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. from Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and his A.M. and Ph.D. from Harvard University. He was a postdoctoral scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Children’s Hospital Boston before joining the University of Chicago as an Assistant Professor in July 2012. Bozhi Tian's research interests include imitating cellular behavior using semiconductor nanomaterials, developing nanoelectronic tools for studying cellular systems, and creating biomimetic nanoscale materials and devices.
