Biography

Heather Armson is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) in the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University. She serves as the Research Director at the Foundation for Medical Practice Education and has held the position of Executive Director since 2011. Dr. Armson has a robust leadership role in research programs focusing on the continuing professional development of family physicians and primary care practitioners. Her commitment to enhancing medical education is evident in her tenure as Assistant Dean for Personalized Learning and Continuing Medical Education at the University of Calgary from 2017 to 2024. Her research endeavors are designed to improve the quality of education for healthcare professionals, ensuring that they stay abreast of new developments in medical practice and training.
