Biography

Julia Wigmore is an Assistant Professor (Teaching) at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Nursing, where she also works as a doctoral candidate. Her educational background includes a Master of Nursing from the University of Calgary and dual Bachelor degrees in Nursing from Toronto Metropolitan University and Science from the University of Waterloo. Wigmore is certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and has notable certifications in perinatal nursing and family therapy. She leads courses focused on nursing roles and practice and has been recognized for her innovative teaching approaches and contributions to nursing education. Her research interests encompass topics like mindfulness in nursing practice and integrating various roles within the nursing profession. Wigmore has received numerous accolades, including the Alberta Graduate Student Scholarship and the Eyes High Doctoral Recruitment Award for her academic achievements and impact in the nursing field.
