Biography

Jade Mitchell is a Professor and the Associate Department Chair in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Drexel University in 2010 and holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University obtained in 2007, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on risk prioritization, chemical food safety, and bioterrorism response. She is involved in projects that drive global risk analysis and has contributed significantly to the field through various publications and awards.
