Biography

David McCarroll is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University, specializing in engineering education. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, awarded in 1984. With extensive industry experience, McCarroll has served in various roles including equipment engineer, mechanical design engineer, and supplier quality engineer within the semiconductor industry. In addition to his industry background, he has dedicated 15 years to teaching high school Mathematics, Engineering, and Physics. He has been a team lead for a STEM academy at Round Rock High School, where he also led STEM advisory boards. McCarroll is recognized for his contributions to training over 200 teachers and providing ongoing support for aerospace engineering curriculum as a Project Lead The Way master teacher. His commitment to education and engineering continues to influence the development of future engineers and the enhancement of STEM education.
