Jonathan Scharrer is the Director of the Restorative Justice Project at the University of Wisconsin Law School's Frank J. Remington Center. He has extensive experience as a facilitator of victim-offender dialogues involving sensitive violent crimes and is a trainer in various restorative justice (RJ) practices. His work has been featured on major media outlets such as 60 Minutes and CNN's Redemption Project. Jonathan is actively involved in examining criminal legal policy and has assisted in drafting proposed RJ legislation, as well as designing and implementing multiple RJ diversion programs. He served as a member of the Advisory Council for the National Association for Community Restorative Justice from 2017 to 2024.
