Jacob Teeny is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Kellogg School of Management, specializing in the study of consumer behavior. His work explores various dimensions of psychology, social influence, and addresses critical questions about human interaction and persuasion. He investigates how people attempt to influence each other, the nature of effective persuasion in different organizational contexts, and how moral norms and real-world events shape public opinions and beliefs. His research is frequently published in leading marketing and psychology journals and has been featured in prominent media outlets such as Business Insider and TIME. Currently, he is working on a book titled 'Handbook of Personalized Persuasion: Theory and Application', which encapsulates his research on social influence.
