Dr. Agneta Yngve

Biography

Agneta Yngve is a retired faculty professor at the Department of Food Studies, Nutrition, and Dietetics with a particular emphasis on meal science. She has authored and contributed to numerous publications in the field of public health nutrition and has extensive experience in the evaluation of curricula in higher education. Throughout her career, she has been involved with the European Commission on various quality assurance projects for universities. Yngve served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Public Health Nutrition from 2007 to 2012 and has held leadership roles in academic communities, including as the president of the Academy of Culinary Arts Meal Science. Her research interests encompass children’s eating behaviors, health impacts of diet and physical activity, and public health nutrition policy. With a robust educational background, which includes degrees from Stockholm University and Karolinska Institutet, she has also supervised multiple PhD students in nutrition sciences. Yngve has held positions at various institutions, including Karolinska Institutet, Oslo Akershus University College, and Örebro University. In 2010, she joined Arizona State University as adjunct faculty, maintaining a wide network and collaborations across Europe and beyond.
