Biography

Born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, Alexandre graduated from the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève with qualifications in Performance, Counterpoint, and Solfège. He also holds a degree from Western University in Performance and Music Education. Alexandre's teachers and mentors include notable figures such as Kim Walker, Jim MacKay, and William Waterhouse. Currently, he pursues his interests in Historically Informed Performance, focusing on baroque and classical bassoons. His career began as an educator, teaching Solfège at the Conservatoire Populaire de Musique de Genève, and he has also taught Instrumental Music and Guitar at a French language school in London. At the Don Wright Faculty of Music, he serves as a bassoon instructor and is involved in various performance education departments. As an orchestral and chamber musician, Alexandre has had the opportunity to perform across Canada, as well as in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, and Hungary.
