Biography

Ana received an MA in International Planning and a Ph.D. in Program Evaluation Planning, with a minor in Agriculture and Rural Development, from Cornell University. With over 20 years of experience in international development monitoring and evaluation across Africa and Asia, she has worked with numerous donor agencies, local and international NGOs, and UN organizations. Her areas of expertise include HIV/AIDS care and prevention, maternal and child health, governance, climate change, and agriculture, including food security and livelihoods. Ana is an active member of the American Evaluation Association and co-founder of the Bangladesh Monitoring and Evaluation Network (BMEN) and the Myanmar Monitoring and Evaluation Association (MMEA). She is currently engaged in publishing a series of articles on Data Quality Management and exploring Buddhist Approaches to Evaluative Thinking.
