Dr. Anastasiia Starovoitova

Biography

Anastasiia’s research lies at the intersection of literature and philosophy, with a broad interest in ancient Greek and Roman writing and the cosmic change and the role of human beings within it. Her dissertation examines how physics and ethics interact in Seneca’s prose. Additionally, Anastasiia’s undergraduate thesis focused on Vladimir Nabokov’s practice of translating his autobiography between English and Russian. She continues to explore concepts of identity, self-narration, and memory as reflected in Greek and Roman literature.
